This Privacy Policy explains how Ambles ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use the Ambles platform — including the Ambles website and the Ambles App for amblers. We process personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and applicable data-protection regulations.
1. Who we are
Ambles operates a walking-advertisement platform that connects businesses ("clients") who create campaigns with individuals ("amblers") who carry and display those campaigns on approved walking routes. Data controller contact: info@ambles.tech.
2. The data we collect

Location data
The Ambles App accesses your precise location only while you are using the app (foreground) to find nearby campaigns and to confirm checkpoints while you walk a route. We do not track your location in the background, and you can disable location access at any time in your device settings (some features will then be unavailable).
Identity documents
Your national identity number and ID document photo are sensitive personal data. They are used solely to verify your identity, are stored in a restricted, non-public location, and are accessible only to authorized Ambles administrators for the purpose of verification.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, operate and maintain the platform and your account.
- To verify ambler identities and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To match amblers with nearby campaigns and verify completed walks.
- To process payments to clients and earnings to amblers.
- To communicate service-related information.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- PayTR — our payment provider, to process payments securely (they handle card details under their own privacy policy).
- Google Maps Platform — to display maps and calculate routes/distances.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate our servers.
- Competent authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Storage, security and retention
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured servers.
- Passwords are stored using one-way hashing; we never store them in plain text.
- Identity documents are kept in a private, access-controlled store, separate from public files.
- We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights
Under KVKK (Article 11), you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it.
- Request correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data.
- Request deletion or destruction of your data where permitted.
- Object to processing and request that we stop, within legal limits.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@ambles.tech. You may also delete your account, which removes your profile data subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Children
The Ambles platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. International processing
Our servers may be located outside Türkiye (for example, within the European Union). Where data is transferred internationally, we take appropriate measures to protect it in line with applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
